Land Wanted
As per our ads in The Press & the BSE:
Sport Airsoft is seeking the use of around 20 or more Hectares of bush, pine or mixed wooded area to play war games in. We would need road access to the area, & parking for around 25 vehicles. Ideally this area won’t be too exposed to strong winds, & would be relatively shady under the trees & not too steep.
An area north of the Waimak, but south of the Ashley would be ideal, as we have many members from Rangiora & Christchurch; but are happy to view any areas that would be within an hour’s drive of the square.
Airsoft is the name of a game similar in style to paintball, but uses BB Guns that shoot little white balls instead of large paintballs. It is basically a war game, where teams run through the bush, hunting each other out, & achieving objectives. Our club has a range of ages, but is very much a family orientated club. We are a responsible group, with a Police woman & Rural Fireman in our ranks. We are able to fit around your livestock need & any wildlife issues. We have non-smoking & safety procedures in place.
We would be keen to build some removable forts from pallets, but this is not essential. We will work out a reasonable financial contribution to compensate you for the use of the land. We would be wanting the land for Saturdays, Sundays & public holidays. Plus a the Wednesday during the summer months.
